摘要
A series of investigations has been carried out into the performance characteristics of Er(3+)-doped fibers for their application in optical probes designed to incorporate fluorescence-based optical fiber sensors. Issues, such as probe length and annealing characteristics, are investigated and results reported on a series of fibers which are well suited to be used in probe construction.
