Evaluation of the emergency dispersion model at the Deutscher Wetterdienst using ETEX data

摘要
The emergency system of the German weather service for the dispersion forecast of hazardous material consists of a trajectory model and a Lagrangian particle dispersion model based on the German global and regional operational weather forecast models. Their products may be transmitted via national and international communication systems in standard formats. Following a description of the Lagrangian particle dispersion model, simulations with the Europa-Modell of the DWD and the ECMWF model are evaluated using ETEX measurements.
