Epilepsy is a frequently encountered disorder in neurologic practice. While new treatments and approaches to therapy have improved the quality of life for more patients than ever before, physicians must still obtain thorough histories, proceed judiciously with diagnostic testing, and communicate closely with patients to achieve successful outcomes.
