摘要
Copper and nickel are extracted from their elemental states, complex sulfides, ores and other materials, such as scrap, by leaching with a solution containing halogen salts - bromine/bromide, and/or iodide/iodine, oxygen and sodium or potassium nitrate. This U.S. patented process is extremely effective, yielding 98% recoveries in 15 minutes for the treatment of chalcopyrite and pentlandite in an autoclave at temperatures ranging from 100degrees to 150degreesC.
