(Chemical Equation Presented) Hold on tight: The dynamics, rather than thermodynamics, of reversible cross-links are the primary determinants of bulk viscosities in a family of supramolecular networks. This result comes from a study in which a series of structurally similar pincer complexes (see picture, OTf=CF3SO3-) that have different ligand-exchange dynamics is used to cross-link poly(4-vinylpyridine). © 2005 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
