摘要
The abstraction reaction H + CD4→CD3 + HD is studied at a collision energy of ∼2 eV under single-collision conditions (see picture). Most of the available energy appears in product translational motion, and the CD3 product is scattered sideways and backward with respect to the incident H-atom direction. This behavior is unexpected based on simple atom-diatom models.
