Isokinetic relationship, isoequilibrium relationship, and enthalpy-entropy compensation

摘要
A study of isokinetic relationship, isoequilibrium relationship and enthalpy-entropy compensation was carried out. The compensation effect and isokinetic relationship were not necessarily equivalent. There was a linear relationship between the logarithm of the preexponential factors and activation energies, between enthalpies and entropies of activation, or between enthalpy and entropy changes of a series of similar reactions. The isokinetic effect should be defined by the existence of a common intersection point of Arrhenius lines describing the kinetics of the reaction series.
