摘要：

Catechol carbonate was synthesized by the vapor-phase reaction of catechol with dimethyl carbonate over alumina loaded with CsOH (CsOH/Al2O3). The yield of catechol carbonate was 50% at 88% catechol conversion at 583 K, the main side product being guaiacol. The effects of the reaction variables on the yield of catechol carbonate were examined. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
