摘要
The effect of adding small amounts of Nb and C elements to the current Fe-Mn-Si based shape memory alloys was investigated. The shape memory effect in the aged samples was measured by bending and extension tests. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was performed to identify NbC precipitates. The addition of Nb and C was found to improve the shape memory effect. The key point of the alloy modification is to produce very small NbC carbide precipitates in austenite by aging.
