Template polymerization using artificial double strands

摘要
A highly syndiotactic (st)-specific template polymerization of poly(methacrylic acid) (PMAA) along with complementary isotactic (it) -poly(methy methacrylate)s (PMMA) chains in ultrathin porous films was demonstrated on the basis of double-stranded stereocomplexes. The molecular weights of the st-PMMAs were analyzed by size exclusion chromatography using THF solvent. Molecular weights of st-PMAAs were controlled by template it-PMAA following the stereocomplex stoichiometry. It was confirmed that structural transcription of template polymer to polymers synthesized can be realized using structurally regular ultrathin porous films composed of template polymers.
