摘要：
An outbreak of the disease bluetonge is causing a threat to farm animals in Europe. The viral disease is found to be transmitted by Culicoides, acting as the disease vector, thus infecting farm animals such as cattle, goats and sheep. Europe is currently undertaking reseaches to prepare a vaccine against the viral serotype 8.
