Search for 2β decay of cadmium and tungsten isotopes:: Final results of the Solotvina experiment -: art. no. 035501

Final results of the double beta decay experiment, performed with the help of low background (CdWO4)-Cd-116 crystal scintillators in the Solotvina Underground Laboratory, are presented. In particular, the revised half-life value of the two-neutrino 2beta decay of Cd-116 has been measured as T-1/2(2nu)=2.9(-0.3)(+0.4)x10(19) yr, and the new half-life limit on the neutrinoless 2beta decay of Cd-116 has been established as T(1/2)(0nu)greater than or equal to1.7(2.6)x10(23) yr at 90% (68%) C.L. The latter corresponds to a restriction on the neutrino mass: m(nu)less than or equal to1.7(1.4) eV at 90% (68%) C.L. Besides, new T-1/2 bounds (at the level of 10(17)-10(21) yr) were set for various 2beta processes in Cd-106, Cd-108, Cd-114, W-180, and W-186 nuclei.
