Coulombic phase transitions in symmetrical quantum systems

Stimulated by recent investigations of the Coulombic criticality of symmetrical classical charged hard sphere systems by M. E. Fisher and co-workers we undertake an analysis of a mass-symmetrical quantum system. The role of the ''smallest distance'' between charges plays here the thermal de Broglie wavelength Lambda(T)=h/[64 pi mkT](1/2). A critical point is found at the critical temperature T-c similar or equal to 7186 K and density n(c)*similar or equal to 3.73x10(21) cm(-3).
