摘要
This article introduces an inductor enhancement active filter for a pulse-width-modulated type sequential switching unit (SSU) for spacecraft applications, The SSU draws a pulsating current from the solar array, which must be suppressed with a large inductor to keep it below the specified electromagnetic interference level, This inductor adds significantly to the weight of the SSU, Instead, a much smaller inductor can be used and its effective inductance enhanced by employing the ripple cancellation technique. The amount of inductance enhancement is limited by the stability of the active compensation loop.
