Estimation of metastable zone width, interfacial energy and growth rates of KTiOPO4 crystallizing from K6P4O13 flux by hot stage microscopy

摘要
Experimental determination of saturation temperature, metastable zone width, interfacial energy and growth rate for the crystallization of KTP in K6P4O13 flux using hot stage microscopy are presented. The interfacial energy values show an inverse relationship with temperature and concentration of KTP in solution. Present experimental data are compared with the values calculated using different theoretical expressions available in the literature. The growth rates follow the BCF surface diffusion growth law.
