摘要
The physical characters particularly the soil texture markedly influence the other characters of soils. Particle size distribution is critical in relation to soil behavior and management. The properties of individual particles and their distribution in field soils are subject to limited human control. However, it is possible to exert some control in the arrangement of these particles into aggregates and their stability. In our previous papers (Ali et al. 1997a, b), changes in some selected chemical and biochemical characters of soils had already been reported. In this report, changes in the soil physical character, particularly particle size distribution in the soils from different physiographic units are outlined. © 1998, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
