摘要
Using a theoretical model. described by a Hamiltonian which includes the crystalline electrical field and exchange interaction. the magnetocaloric potential for the series RAl2 (R = Pr, Nd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, and Tm) is determined. The existence of an anomalous peak was predicted in magnetic entropy change, with applied magnetic field, for Er compound. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
