摘要：

A review of the applications of mass spectrometry to the environmental sciences is presented. First, a brief historical perspective on the early impacts of mass spectrometry on environmental research is given. The last 8-10 years of environmental research is also covered. Finally, the many advances that have occurred over the years in mass spectrometry are described.
