摘要：

Within an overall framework of manufacturing and supply systems management (MSM), which involves the activities needed to regulate and optimize a system as it progresses through its life cycle, one important element is a system design interface, which associates strategic concerns with system requirements. This paper is concerned with the structure of a MSM reference model aimed at providing a method of system specification, in order to support the system design and operations functions within the complete MSM framework.
