摘要
Neurodegeneration can produce behavioral impairments. Previously, we have found that inhibition of cyclooxygenase-2 activity or physical activity was neuroprotective during kainic-acid-induced neural loss. Here, we investigated the combined effect of exercise pre-insult and cyclooxygenase inhibitor treatment post-kainate-induced brain damage. However, in spite of an increase in BDNF levels, the combination did not improve behavioral performance in Morris watermaze and object exploration tasks. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
