Resonant RHEED study of Cu3Au(111) surface order

摘要
Using single-crystal thin films grown by molecular beam epitaxy, we have examined the surface order-disorder transition of Cu3Au(111). The surface order S was determined quantitatively by means of resonant reflection high-energy electron diffraction at structure and superstructure resonances. We find a surface order that varies with a critical exponent in reduced temperature that agrees web with the mean held prediction beta=1/2.
