摘要
Skin-deep: The combination of a near-infrared fluorescent protein (iRFP) and deep-tissue photoacoustic tomography clearly demonstrates the superiority of iRFP over other genetically encoded probes. Impressive resolution (280 μm lateral and 75 μm axial) was obtained at a depth of 4mm in a live animal, and volumetric images of a tumor were produced (see image), thus allowing the spatially resolved monitoring of its development.
