Ultra-low interfacial tension in oil-water-mixed surfactant systems

摘要
The effects of salinity and temperature on interfacial tension are discussed for oil-water-mixed surfactant. At an appropriate formulation, an interfacial tension minimum occurs that corresponds to miscibility between oil and water phases. We have named this system as miscible system. It is essential that the surfactant-rich middle layer containing a dispersion of small special liquid crystals forms in order to get ultra-low interfacial tension. These complicated surfactant (ionic-nonionic) systems display behavior similar to that of pure nonionic surfactants.
