Bounded entrepreneurship and internationalisation of indigenous Chinese private-owned firms

Based on 16 in-depth case studies this paper argues that the internationalisation behaviour of indigenous Chinese private-owned firms can only be partially explained by the Uppsala model and the theory of international new ventures. Instead, the so-called "bounded entrepreneurship" may be the key influence on the unique internationalisation patterns and competitive positions of these firms.
