摘要
Single layer microstrip antenna arrays with 64-patch and 256-patch applied in millimeter-wave radar front-end are presented. There are two kinds of 64-patch arrays: one is fed from radiating edge and the other is from non-radiating edge. The 256-patch array is fed from non-radiating edge. All the arrays are formed by sub-array which consists four patches and used as transmitting and receiving antenna of 35 GHz radar front-end. The improved simulation model is introduced at the end of paper which has great effect to the results. The maximum detection ranges of radar could be 40-meter and 70-meter with the antennas of 64-patch and 256-patch with transmitter power less than 10 mw.
