Various trifluoromethylated porphyrins can be conveniently synthesized in high yields by the reaction of brominated porphyrins with FSO2CF2COOMe/CuI in the presence of catalytic amounts of Pd-2(dba)(3)(CHCI3)-C-./AsPh3. ((c) Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2005).
