Access to planar chirality through cycloplatination of ((dimethylamino)methyl)ferrocene by cis-[PtCl2(SOMeAr)2] (Ar = phenyl, p-tolyl)

摘要
A reaction between ((dimethylamino)methyl)ferrocene and the enantiomerically pure complex cis-[PtCl2(S-SOMeC6H4Me-p)(2)] affords the two easily separable cycloplatinated SsRp and SsSp diastereoisomers 4 and 5, respectively. The absolute configuration of 4 was established by an X-ray study. Diastereomers 4 and 5 react with PPh3 to give enantiomers with the planar chirality only.
