Microstructural characterization of fluoropolymers via two-dimensional H-1/F-19/C-13 triple-resonance NMR techniques

摘要
This paper demonstrates the utility of F-19/C-13 chemical shift correlation 2D-NMR experiments for characterizing fluoropolymers. F-19{C-13} HMQC and HMBC (with simultaneous H-1 decoupling) provide greatly simplified spectra with almost no loss of sensitivity compared to the routinely used H-1-{C-13} heteronuclear multiple-quantum coherence (HMQC) and heteronuclear multiple-bond connectivity (HMBC) NMR experiments and exploit the large chemical shift dispersion of both C-13 and F-19 nuclei to achieve tremendous spectral dispersion. The utility of these methods in obtaining resonance assignments is illustrated using spectra of poly(1-chloro-1-fluoroethylene-co-isobutylene).
