Synthesis and spectroscopic properties of CaTiO3 nanocrystals doped with Pr3+ ions

摘要
CaTiO3 nanocrystals doped with praseodymium were obtained by sol-gel method. The sizes of nanocrystals depend on the synthesis method and on annealing temperature; and change from 24 nm for samples annealed at 700 degrees C to 45 nm for samples annealed at 1100 degrees C. The more heavily doped nanocrystallite sample under laser pumping in the P-3(2) manifold exhibits at 77 K unusual blue emission from the P-3(0) level. The intensity of the blue emission increases with the Pr3+ concentration in the range 0.1-10%. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
