The grain size and surface hydroxyl content of super-hydrophilic TiO2/SiO2 composite nanometer thin films

摘要
The surface hydroxyl content of super-hydrophilic titanium dioxide/silicon dioxide composite nanometer thin films was analyzed. The titanium dioxide/silicon dioxide composite nanometer thin films were prepared using sol-gel method. These thin films were characterized using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), FTIR spectroscopy, UV-VIS spectroscopy, Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. It was found that the contact angles for water of composite thin films decreases with increasing amounts of silicon dioxide.
