Super hydrophobic property of PVDF/CaCO3 nanocomposite coatings

摘要
Super hydrophobic properties of PVDF/CaCo3 nanocomposite coatings were analyzed. Uses of polymer microspheres on structured surfaces for water repellent application were studied and a method to construct super hydrophobic surfaces was developed. The shape and size of the inorganic CaCo3 particles on coatings were evaluated by transmission electron microscopy. Results show the combination of microspheres of different sizes makes the coating surface highly rough and porous.
