摘要
The regenerative capacity of the central nervous system is discussed. Earlier it was believed that the brain was not capable of generating new cells, but in the recent years scientists have discovered that the brain does change throughout life. This plasticity offers a possible mechanism for the brain to repair itself after injury or disease.
