摘要
Long-term potentiation has captured the attention of neuroscientists for over two decades. It has provided motivation to investigate the detailed mechanisms of synaptic transmission and remains a prime candidate for mediating circuit modifications during development and experience-dependent plasticity. However, much remains to be learned about this fascinating phenomenon, which will certainly continue to entice neuroscientists throughout the twenty-first century.
