摘要
Experimental benchmark results for the differential cross section and several spin asymmetries are presented for elastic electron scattering from Cs atoms at an energy of 3 eV. Comparison with predictions from several nonrelativistic, semirelativistic, and fully relativistic theoretical models emphasizes the need for the development of a numerical approach that accounts both fur relativistic effects and for coupling between a large number of discrete and continuum target states.
