Catalytic enantioselective C-H activation by means of metal-carbenoid-induced C-H insertion

The impact of both catalyst design and carbenoid structure on catalytic asymmetric C-H activation is highlighted. A general chiral catalyst effective for all carbenoid system is found, but the reason for this is simply because the various carbenoid systems had very different chemical and structural characteristics. Consequently, the most effective chiral catalysts tend to operate best on a specific class carbenoids.
