摘要
A high-pressure cell has been developed which can be accommodated with neutron-scattering systems for triple extreme conditions of high pressure, low temperature, and high magnetic field. The design of this cell, the Osaka-Kyoto cell, is basically a piston-cylinder type carrying a compound cylinder that consists of segmented inner and autofrettaged outer parts. The pistons are made of sintered diamond while the cylindrical parts are composed of hat-pressed alumina and nonferrous alloys. A 4-mm-diam, 15-mm-long sample can be studied under pressures exceeding 1.6 GPa. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics. [S0034-6748(98)01207-6].
