摘要
Coagulation-flocculation processes have been applied for treating slaughterhouse wastewater. Three compounds: alum, ferric chloride, and PACl (Polyaluminium Chloride) were selected as coagulants. Coagulant dose and working pH were adjusted and selected through jar-test assays. The observed total COD removal rates appeared to be dependent on coagulants nature and the ratio between soluble and total COD concentrations values. Mixtures of PACl and a synthetic organic polymer, polyetilenimine, were also tested in order to reduce aluminium doses.
