Phase problem in synchrotron Mossbauer spectroscopy

摘要
The problem of phase determination in forward-directed scattering of synchrotron radiation by nuclei with sharp resonances is investigated. It is shown that the phase of the wave field can be uniquely obtained relative to a reference field from four intensity measurements. The knowledge of the relative phase permits reconstruction of the energy spectrum of the transmitted radiation. The coherent superposition of the two fields can be achieved by use of an x-ray interferometer.
