Temperature-dependent unusual changes in the factor (γ) representing photocurrent-light intensity characteristics for some ferrocene derivatives

摘要
The photoconductivity of some ferrocene derivatives has been studied as a function of the intensity (I-B) Of exciting light source (mercury lamp; 125 W) at different values of fixed sample cell temperature in the range similar to 284-317 K. The photoconductivity behavior of these materials has indicated the temperature range-dependent photoeffects. Temperature-dependent fluctuations in gamma values (in the usual relation for the dependence of photocurrent (I-ph) on I-B i.e. I-ph proportional to I-B(gamma) where the exponent gamma is the characteristic of the photoconducting system) have been observed. An unusual temperature-dependence of photocurrent (Iph) has also been observed. The results have been compared with the results of ferrocence. Discussion regarding the possible origin of the observations has been presented. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
