Dynamics of spontaneous spreading under electrowetting conditions

摘要
The dynamics of spontaneous spreading of drops is well described by the molecular kinetic theory. We show that it is also the case under electrowetting conditions for drops of glycerol on PTFE substrate. The associated friction between the liquid and the solid surface is independent of the applied voltage between 0 and 700 V.
