摘要
Several types of water-swelling polyampholyte gels have been synthesized by gamma-irradiation copolymerization and the behaviour of crosslinked amphoteric macromolecules was studied in dependence of pH, ionic strength and DC electric field. It has been shown that both polyampholyte gels and interpenetrating polyelectrolyte networks swell near of the isoelectric points. Under the action of DC electric field polyampholyte gels are able to produce an eel-like motion.
