Lithium cobalt oxide compounds are promising materials in various industrial applications, as water electrolysis cells, rechargeable lithium batteries, molten carbonate fuel cells and humidity ceramic sensors. This paper presents an overview of the preparation and properties of Li-Co-O compounds. lithiated Co3O4, LiCoO2 and LiCoO2-CoO solid solutions. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Limited.
