Exact solution for contaminant transport with nonlinear sorption

摘要
We study a contaminant transport model with a cubic approximation for Langmuir sorption. It is shown that the aqueous concentration profile can be obtained exactly in the form of a traveling wave front. We outline the methodology of obtaining the exact solution and present two possible closed form solutions.
