The effects of resolution on spectral and interferogram-based analyses are investigated by comparing results obtained with multivariate calibration models built with spectral and interferogram data. The performance of the models in isolating information due to an analyte band that is overlapped to varying degrees with an interfering band is evaluated. The effects of changing spectral resolution on the spectral-based analyses is also studied, and the results obtained are compared to those from an analysis based on the direct use of interferogram data. A nonlinear multivariate calibration method is also applied to the interferogram-based analysis.
