Modeling and control of a lightly damped T-beam using piezoceramic actuators and sensors

摘要
This paper addresses the issue of active vibration control using bonded and embedded piezoceramic actuators and sensors. Piezoceramic actuators and sensors are used to control the bending and torsional modes of a lightly damped T-beam. The modeling incorporates the effects of actuator and sensor dynamics. A linear quadratic Gaussian controller is used to effect coupled vibration control of the beam. The simulation results match the experimental results qualitatively and the closed loop settling times show good agreement.
