摘要
This paper develops the importance of decision-making in the engineering design. It makes the argument that the decisions made, and the information contained in the decision-making effort, are kev to managing the design process. Based on this importance, the concept of robust decision-making is developed and 12 steps that are necessary to make robust decisions are itemized. Activities that support each step will also be listed.
