γ-Irradiation preparation of cadmium selenide nano-particles in ethylenediamine system

摘要
Cadmium Selenide nano-particles have been successfully prepared by gamma -irradiation in ethylenediamine (en) system, using selenium powders and cadmium chloride as reactants. Ethylenediamine is selected as the solvent for two reasons: Firstly, it is a polar substance as strong as water, in which system solventional electron can be easily produced during gamma -irradiation; Secondly, it can form complexs with many substances to increase their solubility tin en). The experiments showed that the phase and the particle size of CdSe would change with the increase of the radiation dose. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
