摘要：

A new approach called immunoisolation or biohybrid therapy that combines living cells with plastic membranes that shield the cells from immune attack is drawing significant attention. At present, extensive animal experiments are being carried out to prove the efficiency of this approach to treat various human disorders. To date, initial results confirm the viability of this approach.
