Synthesis, structure and magnetic properties of di-carboxylato-bridged complex [Cu2(phen)2(Hpht)2(NO3)(H2O)]NO3•2H2O

摘要
The binuclear complex [Cu-2(phen)(2)(Hpht)(2)(NO3)(H2O)]NO3. 2H(2)O (Hpht = hydrogen phthalate and phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The structure consists of unsymmetrical di-mu -carboxylato-bridged [Cu-2(phen)(2)(Hpht)(2)(NO3)(H2O)](+) cation, one NO3- anion and two H2O solvate molecules. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibilities of the complex have been studied in the range 5-300 K, giving the exchange coupling parameter J= -79.2 cm(-1), indicating a moderately strong antiferromagnetic interaction between the copper(II) ions within the binuclear unit.
