摘要
The superparamagnetic nanocomposites composed of 10-30 nm nanograins of iron oxide or iron nitride dispersed in a silver matrix were synthesized and their δS was evaluated to examine their enhancement. The enhancement evaluated was smaller than predicted by a model of superparamagnetism. The magnetization of nanocomposites showed that the magnetic moment size has the lognormal distribution. The magnetocaloric efficiency was degraded by the distribution. It was necessary to synthesize nanocomposites with narrow particle distribution for improving magnetocaloric performance.
